Cinta Dunia

Kelemahan kita adalah kerana ini. Hubbun dunniya wa karahiatul maut. Cinta dunia dan takutkan mati.

Ayat ke 32 dalam surah Ali-Imran (zuyyina linnas...), tentang tarikan dunia. We will never be strong until we eschew these worldly thing and embrace wholeheartedly the bounty of Allah, the real one. Not that we should stop working. It's not about not having those thing, but it's about having them but not loving them. I'm not sure how many of us are really convicted to the verse 92 of the same surah (lan tanaalul birra...). That we give what we love. I'm still grappling in taming my heart to be able to do this. Maybe I'm the only one here, I hope.

Will you give your new bungalows for charity? Will you give your new BMW for the sake of Allah?
